Biography
Julieta Rotaru is a philologist with expertise in Vedic (ritual texts from the Atharvaveda, Kauśikasūtra, etc) and Romani, with an ad fontes and multidisciplinary approach to Romani studies, reflected in her work on nineteenth-century Romani language and literature and in her contributions to the history of specific historical communities of Roma in Romania: the Netoti, the Roudari (first historical monograph), the ‘Turciti Gypsies’, etc.
