Description
The Department of Sanskrit Studies at Ashoka University invites applications for a limited duration Visiting Faculty position (open rank) for the academic year 2025-26.

The selected candidate will be required to teach two courses in the Monsoon Semester, which runs from the end of August to the end of November, followed by a reading week and an exam week. Additionally, they will teach two courses in the Spring Semester, which runs from around January 20 to the end of April, also followed by a reading week and an exam week.

Qualifications
Applicants must have completed a PhD in Sanskrit Studies or a related discipline (or must be close to submission). We prefer candidates with experience of teaching the Sanskrit language in English to undergraduates. We are interested in candidates with a commitment to teaching a diverse student community in a liberal arts environment.
