Dreaming Dharma’s decline : an indian Buddhist vaticinium ex eventu and its spread far and wide
This lecture deals with a short episode of dream interpretation found in a variety of forms across Indian Buddhist literature, which in somewhat transformed versions made its way across Asia to Europe. We will explore this in terms of Buddhist prophecies of decline, as well as the ways in which stories are adopted and adapted.
