“Bhūtārthakathane… Sarasvatī”. Reading Poetry as a History Book

ERC Śivadharma project & University of Bologna

The international conference “Bhūtārthakathane… Sarasvatī”. Reading Poetry as a History Book will be held in Bologna on 15 and 16 December 2022. It is organised in the frame of the ERC Shivadharma project (https://shivadharmaproject.com/), in collaboration with the Department of History and cultures of the University of Bologna.

The conference will focus on the study of kāvya literature as a possible source for the reconstruction of India’s history – political, literary, social, dynastic, geographic etc.

The conference will take place at the Accademia delle Scienze dell’Istituto di Bologna (via Zamboni 31, Bologna), it is open to all and will also be broadcasted on Zoom:
