This publication is the result of a two-day international symposium, ‘Epigraphy and Art History of Southern India: International Symposium in Memory of Professor Noboru Karashima’ held on 12-13 October 2017 at the National Institute of Art History, Paris. The colloquium was jointly organised by the École Pratique des Hautes Études (EPHE) – UMR 7528 Mondes iranien et indien and the Centre de Recherches sur l’Extrême Orient de Paris-Sorbonne (CREOPS).
